Back from San Francisco: a whirlwind trip

We’re back in the shop from our whirlwind trip to Florida and San Francisco. We definitely made the most of our time in San Francisco, starting with midnight tacos upon arrival.

While we were in SF we did bike related things, too. We saw where the Belt Drive Townie is hanging at Freemans, and visited the awesome guys at Box Dog Bikes who have been receiving our SF bikes and building them up for our clients. And as luck would have it, we ran into Tracko himself randomly on the street!

By the time Thanksgiving rolled around on Thursday, we’d already eaten better in 4 days in SF than we had for months at home. Our host had prepared for the holiday by purchasing a deep fryer for the occasion, and it was hands down the best turkey we’ve ever had. (Please forgive the gratuitous Thanksgiving dinner shot. Don’t worry - this is still a bike blog.)

We returned to Roanoke late Friday night, and on Saturday we met up with SN to start working on his new road bike bound for Wilmington, NC next summer! It was a great trip filled with fantastic friends, and now we’re full speed ahead getting the last of our NAHBS bikes to paint by Christmas! Fortunately, with the arrival of some new tools today we’re hoping to speed up production a bit in the next few months. But more on that later. Gotta get back to the bikes!
