Wrap-around seat-stay caps

Wrap-around seat-stay caps

2 weeks ago I finished up a pair of matching his and hers city bikes. They turned out wonder great and I’m really excited to get them back from paint. I was able to incorporate a few neat details in them, but my personal favorite are the wrap-around stays over the fillet on “his” frame. These are pretty tough to do and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Thats exactly 1mm between the 2 points. They’re kinda hard to photograph, but you get the idea.

“Her” bike had some nice details as well, including hand bent seat stays, but I realized after the fact that I didn’t take any photos before I sent them off to paint. I sometimes get so wrapped up in the building, that I forget to take the time to document the process. They should be back from paint soon though…
